TILL DEATH DO US PART Solo dance piece (2023) 30' "Līdz nāve mūs šķirs" (LV)
"Till Death Do Us Part" is a solo dance performance about facing the self - embracing vulnerability, the intimate dialogues we have with our own bodies, and the societal constructs that shape those dialogues. It is raw and embodied solo dance piece, often using contrasting dynamics - tension and release, stillness and motion - to map the emotional landscape of the body and alarming the anxiety that accompanies bodies in the world. The title evokes traditional marital vows but inverts them, implying an intimate and perhaps uneasy confrontation with one's physical being—a pact with mortality, desire, and corporeal truth. It is also a direct reference to the fact that being alive means being in a body.
